Thousands of US and Canadian airmen during WW2 flew the Stearman PT-17 Kaydet as their primary trainer before graduating to more advanced aircraft. Over 10,000 were produced and after the war were auctioned off to the general public to be used for recreational flying and crop dusting. Many are still in use today and are often seen at airshows across the country.
My photography is a reflection of some of my loves. Aviation, landscapes, animals and live performance are all subject to capture through my lenses. I shoot with Nikon gear and have always enjoyed the art of photography. One of my great uncles was Carl Siembab, a man well respected in N England photography circles during his time. During the late 50's he was responsible for opening the first gallery in Boston dedicated solely to photography when many in the art world never really considered it a true fine art. Ansel Adams and Aaron Siskind were considered friends. I was a military son and we moved a lot. That is likely where my love of travel and new sights have come from. I know it is where my love of aviation comes from.
