Artist's Description

Mt Rainier is a dormant volcano over 14000 ft high. It is a little over 50 miles south east of Seattle and dominates the horizon when the weather doesn't shroud it in clouds. It is popular with climbers, hikers and other outdoor enthusiasts and is known for it's glaciers. The most of any mountain in the lower 48 States. It is a truly marvelous mountain.

About Jeff Cook

Jeff Cook

My photography is a reflection of some of my loves. Aviation, landscapes, animals and live performance are all subject to capture through my lenses. I shoot with Nikon gear and have always enjoyed the art of photography. One of my great uncles was Carl Siembab, a man well respected in N England photography circles during his time. During the late 50's he was responsible for opening the first gallery in Boston dedicated solely to photography when many in the art world never really considered it a true fine art. Ansel Adams and Aaron Siskind were considered friends. I was a military son and we moved a lot. That is likely where my love of travel and new sights have come from. I know it is where my love of aviation comes from.
